The city was still bustling at this point in the morning even though the lateness for some people and the waking point for other people heading off to work. Poor creatures. They walked about this world going to their day job and then coming out with different personalities so they could leave seperate lives. Inside the largest condo complex that rose above the city with a perfect view over it. He could watch over them now, right from his home. It was not his favorite but it served its purpose in housing him.

Sighing, the Master Vampire stretched out between the black silk sheets that plastered across the large bed centered in the middle of the room. It looked like something from a Medieval picture how he had everything set up. It was designed and decorated to accomodate the past without actually living in it. It was one of the places he could feel right at home. Leaning back against the large headboard, he rested his muscular but slender frame. His mind was drifting in and out of his past memories before he resided in this city. The French Quarter.

"Karayan." Her voice sounded.

Snapping back into reality, Karayan yawned even though the effect of it was pointless. He was not tired until the sun decided to arise and beckon him into a sleeping mode. He stretched his muscles again and watched the origin of the voice walking about the room. He was aware she had nothing but a cover over her ridiculously perfect form. Her long onyx hair tousled down her back, covering the tattoos that had drawn him to her. Smiling casually, he only watched her. He would rather take that sheet from her and continue from where they had left off. He was surprised she could actually walk this morning after last night's play time.

"Why are you bustling about? Its not like you have to work..."

Karayan was definitely smitten. He didn't know what it was about Re but she had something he was trying to figure out. It was not like this was the first time they had romped around. Their first meeting was less than pleasant when she accused him of killing four girls in a seven hour period. How was he was supposed to know that the Marshall was also an Executioner and now he would have been her largest take out. Minor vampires roamed around the city, but this was his city, and even she knew it now. Smiling, he watched her drop the sheet and he only admired the view. Though, he had seen it many times before pinned up against a wall, on top of a kitchen counter and other various places.

"Once again, my city cannot rest." He noted. "I should change all that."

When she came to kiss him on the lips, he snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her on top of him. His body was very responsive as he kissed along her jawline, down her throat and onto her collarbone. Even if she protested, they would be weak. He only joked with her now, as he released her with his goodbye statement. "Wake me up, I should be willing for you to take advantage of me."

"I will feed him. I have actually grown found of that furball." Kayaran perked a brow towards her.

He was not quick to move from the comforts of his bed but he did anyway at a very languid pace. His naked body was displayed as he found his pants and pulled them on. There was still clothes carelessly tossed about his room as he bent down again and picked up a scant red bra that only could have belonged to her. He only studied it and smiled as he walked over towards the refreshments table. He poured himself a glass full of scotch, another one of his more humane tastes before looking back at her.

"I remember that look, you had a gun to my head..." He observed as he opened his glasses case and placed them on. It gave him the sexy intellectual look when he decided to read the human books that were brought in by the dozens that he splurged on. Honestly, he knew he defied everything she had thought about him. Just another greedy blood sucker. No, he was quite the intellectual with a vast library she spent very little time in. Perhaps it was his ridiculous amount of books he had obtained over the years.

"I know of some other activities that we could partake in that pool." He only replied as she yelled later to him.

Walking into his library, he held in one hand the crystalline glass of scotch and the book he was currently enjoying from some new human author. Their world fascinated him even though he should have died 10 000 years ago. He could feel her battling her constant struggle against the cravings. Though he expressed several times to her that fighting it was useless, because one day it could drive you insane. He knew. It had been his problem when he first became what he was. He couldn't say he was a saint, but far from it, he had killed his fair share of woman who had come across him at the wrong time. Sitting in his chair, he only sat for a minute. There was another presence in here that made him stand and drop his glass on the ground.

"Oh dear, Des, you have dropped that." Her voice was shrilly. She was rather obnoxious but he thought she was dead.

"Correct me if I am wrong, Nakita, you're supposed to be dead? What did you do? Did you preform your famous favors for the Devil to release you from hell?" Kayaran questioned, maintaining his own composure. "I truely thought Rez sent you to hell."

"Rez? That Excutioner?" Nakita giggled. "So familiar we are now. Are you sleeping with her? How cute!"

"Why are you here?"

"To remind you of who you truly are or once were. You have fallen far Des, and she is the cause of it. A damn human, will she bring you down? The infamous Kayaran?" She shrilled again before disappearing.

And he was left alone to his thoughts...

There was another silence that drifted through his condo as he slipped from the library without cleaning up his scotch into the room where he pulled a a fresh pair of new clothes. Trouble was back in his city and he was not content with it at all. Even when Nakita had been alive, she was seldom seen anywhere else but Tokyo where she was allowed to be because of the Vampire who ruled the city there. He could somehow control the hellion that was brought into this world.

Picking up a pair of distressed denim jeans, he slipped into them and wore a tight fitting black T-shirt over his muscular frame. The cellular phone that Rez just told him he had to get was sitting on its charger against the wall. He picked it up and found her phone number. When she picked up, he spoke into the mic...God he hated technology.

"Yes I know I am using this goddamn phone...but there is a problem. Nakita is alive and back in the city, she appeared after you left. I will be around town now, mostly at the old Cathedral." And he hung up the phone.

Going into his closet, he pulled out a black jacket which he slipped on as he walked out with his shoes on as well. After being fulled dressed, he walked down thanking god it was still night outside and he got into his car. He sped off towards the Old Cathedral...

His vehicle was also quite expensive and sleek but compared to Rez's Ferrari it was more classy than fast. His pure as snow white Bentley glided around corners with an ease as he pulled up to the Cathedral parking lot. After he pulled into his parking spot he turned off he engine and removed himself swiftly from his car. His movements were never timed but languid in their timing. As he strode towards the entrance, he was caught by another one of the vampires loyal to him, and whispered something to him. Karayan just nodded and walked through the doors.

"Master Karayan, reports shown the deaths are up in your city. Many of the rogues that live in NYC are coming here to cause problems." His assistant reported.

"Right." Des said, running his hands through his onyx messy hair. "The other side cannot be the only ones killing them, why is ours not killing these cretins?"

"Killing our own kind?" Michal questioned.

"Yes. I promised this city would remain peaceful for everyone who lived here. We are oddities of nature you and I, most of us in this room were meant to stand back and not interfere with the lives of mortals." Des explained, walking around the table in the middle where most of his Lords sat.

Karayan was in the middle of explaining a new plan for the Lords of his city to carry out when the doors suddenly swung open. The guard, Jacoby was leading Nereza towards the table when all of them looked behind them and gave looks of distaste. He only smiled slightly before commanding their attention when he finished his presentation. "Furthermore, that will be all for the night, gentlemen, we will meet again tomorrow evening."

As he walked around from the table, he dismissed Jacoby to go do something as he walked with the Executioner. "You know better than to bother me at work darling."

He did something odd for being seen in public and in front of his lords, but his nonchalant mood was taken over. Bending down, he kissed her lips and tasted her blood. He knew she tasted good but he pulled back and only smiled with that grin he knew would piss her off as he backed up slightly and watched the teeth slightly. Sighing, he ran a hand through his hair and looked towards her. He made no comment when she said she was falling in love with him, he was attracted to her but the whole notion was quite frightening honestly and he lived forever. They were from two sides of the tracks and one day something would come up...well something already had and it was testing him right now.

"Someone was trying to frame Nakita." He offered. "I don't know how to explain it any better than that. I know she is physcotic but she has changed. Lucian has been trying to calm her down as much as possible."
